No, some scanner I saw needs to be first to be calibrated,
Or things like papers not found message box pops up, I want that message transfered to my app, where I would show the message in a level or own messgebox. all the messages generated from a user command to the scanner to be captured by my app just that what I want.Calibrate first, papers not ready or any event message from the device happens when?
You are saying GetFirstFile has nothing to do with pre scan preview and and only to show a preview is to scan the first page and put the up to user?
Guys.
Thanks much for your replies. I figured it out. I had two functions which one for settings and other for acquire. Twain treats each openDS as new session and hey probably forgets what was the settings on previous openDS… kind of thing.. whatever!, when I did the settings in the same function leading to acquire.. WHOA! mm thats first time I could my app scanned to both side.. and two images!!
public TwCapability( TwCap cap, short sval )
{
Cap = (short) cap;
ConType = (short) TwOn.One;
hContainer = Twain.GlobalAlloc( 0x42, 6 );
IntPtr pv = Twain.GlobalLock( hContainer );
Marshal.WriteInt16( pv, 0, (short) TwType.Int16 );
Marshal.WriteInt32( pv, 2, (int) sval );
Twain.GlobalUnlock( Handle);
}cap = new TwCapability(TwCap.CAP_DUPLEXENABLED, 1); //TwCap.CAP_DUPLEXENABLED=0x1013
rc = DScap(appid, srcds, TwDG.Control, TwDAT.Capability, TwMSG.Set, cap);
it says rc = Success,
Then,
cap = new TwCapability( TwCap.CAP_DUPLEX, 4114 ); //TwCap.CAP_DUPLEX=0x1012
rc = DScap( appid, srcds, TwDG.Control, TwDAT.Capability, TwMSG.Get, cap );
Also says SuccessBut it Scans only one side.
Scanner’s OEM interface and TWACKER 32 sample app works fine.
Just couldn’t get C# tests working..
July 30, 2007 at 7:14 pm in reply to: Is there any .NET sample without opening the driverinterface #24009if you are seeing a live video stream I believe you are seeing it from the vendor’s Ui
YES. I see live video stream from the vendor’s driver UI, which gets invoked from the twain dotnet app pressing acquire button.
When you say ‘without opening driver interface’, do you mean without showing the user interface from the driver?
YES.
Wouldn’t you want to open that Ui at least once to configure how you want the scan?
NO. I do not need the driver interface or diver interface specific functions. I only need to be able to access to basic functions, like selecting source, scanning multi pages with pressing a scan button one time or getting a live feed from camera so may do some still or video capture within my app. And some very basic configurations like, setting scan page size, color or gray scan etc.
Why don’t you want to open the driver’s interface?
Because, the devices will be accessed over network and the user will not see any driver UI in his pc: like accessing a network scanner from your pc and you like to have an UI where you can send commands to the network scanner.
But I really appreciate your reply.
