Sorry for this late reply. As no one replied on this, I would like to share my view on this. I am not sure if Twain supports to read barcode in .net at that time. But it seems that it is ok now. If it does not support to do this, you can also try some other ways, like employing a third party control (.net barcode reader) to read the barcode in .net. You can just add the tool your program and do a few steps to finish the barcode reading. Many tools support to read many barcode types, including QR Code, PDF417, Code 39, Code 128, etc. Hope this would be helpful for others.
so old post,maybe the problem is solved,but i’d like to share another barcode tool for you,where you can find the similar barcode recognition that i do not know whether it is better than that of twain,or you can check another reader tool for data matrix
er, so many different barcode reader, i’m wondering whether can be used on phone?

I also use barcode scanner. But I never consider about the resolution problem, for the barcode reading tool can read it clearly and easily. I use this barcode scanner to read barcodes. It supports various barcode types, including rich linear barcode types and 2D barcode types, like QR Code, etc. Maybe a good barcode reader can reduce many problems.
yeah, barcode reader can be found anywhere for its convenience!
er, i used their one product,not bad

How about trying this C# barcode reader? It supports quick barcode scanning from specified area inside the image document, reading and recognizing 20+ linear, 2d barcode images in C# (inlcuding qr code, code 39, code 128, etc.). It is completely developed in C#.NET, compatible with .net framework 2.0 and later version.
does the barcode reader support phone ?

Recently , i use the barcode reader for .net.
Maybe you can try this barcode reader.
Here is sample code of reading:
sing BusinessRefinery.Barcodes.Reader;
// Read a Code 39 barcodes image in C# class
string[] barcodes = BarCodeReader.scanBarCode
(bmp,BusinessRefinery.Barcodes.Reader.BarCodeType.CODE39);
// Read Data Matrix barcodes in C# class
string[] barcodes = BarCodeReader.scanBarCode
(bmp,BusinessRefinery.Barcodes.Reader.BarCodeType.DATAMATRIX);
Hope it helps!this topic seems talking about barcode scanner hardware ?
here,found on google,you may see the barcode reader code sample in vb.net of interleaved 2 of 5,and the code 128 barcode,just take it for example

i think his problem is about barcode reading,you can find some scripts here with tutorial. pulling barcode value quickly and conveniently. for barcode generatingi prefer c# as well.it is know by most people. so you can give a try.
