Am looking for a twain driver that can scan document(1-many pages) convert to pdf dynamically and post using POST http request to an web page so that i can save it to a database.
This ActiveX or plugin should be compatible in linux and windows platforms. Am i likely to get one or if it’s not possible, can i get it either in wondows or linux and be called in a common javascript?Opinions highly accepted
Thanks in advance.

no. I would say you’re not likely. even when you restrict your search to the windows platform your chances are pretty close to 0.
But if you were looking to build a 32bit windows application (or even a Com dll) for windows 2000 & xp (maybe Vista) to control a twain driver and for that solution to Post the image(s) using http you are slightly more likely to get help.
On the pdf conversion end I’m not familiar with a native solution (I know they exist, I’m just not familliar with one) so the pdf processing would be tricky (at least for me) unless a .net solution were acceptable.thats the closest I can get you to you request,
.

Hi, kagara.
I wonder have you ever worked it out? Do I need another 3rd party manual toolkit? When it comes to PDF converting process, I have another question, I wonder have you ever tried to convert pdf to other image files before? As for myself, I am testing the related PDF to PNG converting, PDF to BMP converting , and PDF to JPG converting programs these days. Do you have experience about it? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.Best regards,
