I’m a bit confused of TWAIN Direct.
Is this different from TWAIN driver?
I want to make our own TWAIN driver which wraps existing interface functions with device.
Should I start from TWAIN Direct? Please see more information regarding TWAIN Direct at twaindirect.org This network scanning language/protocol is still in development. The TWAIN Working Group will be sure to send an announcement when it is ready for release
KevinThe TWAIN Direct protocol allows communication DIRECTLY from an application (whether it be mobile or desktop) to a network attached scanner, without the traditional scanner driver. The scanner itself must be capable of supporting the TWAIN Direct specification and also must have a direct network connection (Ethernet or WiFi) and not through a computer attached with a USB cable.
