Home › Forums › TWAIN Classic › TWAIN after the scanner’s name
Hi all,
I’ve wrote an application to communicate with a twain scanner and just wanted to know why “TWAIN” is specified after the scanner’s name
when I get the scanner’s name?
Thanks.
Are you refering to DAT_IDENTITY.ProductName?
Here the vendor is free to enter “ABC Scanner” or “ABC Scanner TWAIN”.
TWAIN is not mandatory.
Is that answering your question?
Best regards,
Kaij

Yes I do mean the product name.
For some reason I thought the DSM added it to it??
Just I have created an application here and is working fine with two different scanners.
On site it doesn’t work with the Canon DR-M160 scanner.
The two that it does work with didn’t have TWAIN in the name.
Thanks
