I am a rookie in this area.
I have developed a twain driver based on Sample Twain Data Source version 2.1 in Win7. I can see the source when I using picasa or other tools.
Then I copy ds file, FreeImage.dll, QtCore4.dll, and QtGui4.dll to C:Windowstwain_32 on another PC(WinXP), but I cannot select the developed source.
Is anything I missed? Most likely these DLLs use another external library which is missing on the other PC.
If a DS cannot loaded completely the DSM will now show it in the list.
Best regards,
Kaij
http://www.jse.deHi Kaij,
Thanks for your reply.
Is it possible to know what DLLs I need to collect?I had made a installer based on Sample Twain Data Source and it is just copy ds file, FreeImage.dll, QtCore4.dll, and QtGui4.dll to C:Windowstwain_32 like I did manually.
Is anything missed of the installer making process? Is your XP 32 bit or 64 bit? If the latter, try copying to SysWOW64 folder and test again.
Did you also try on other machines?

http://www.dynamsoft.comI am using visual studio 2008 in Win7-32bit to do development and using WinXP-32bit for testing. I had tried 2 PC with WinXP-32bit and came the same result. Any DLLs related to visual studio 2008 I need to collect?
No I cannot tell you which DLLs are missing as I do not know which externals the DLLs that you use need.
You should not copy the files into c:
TWAIN_32. Use a subfolder below for all the files. Best regards,
Kaij
http://www.jse.deIf the issue persists, you can also try this:
copy the dlls in the sub-folder and paste them to the folder C:WindowsSystem32Catherine Sea
