Hi all,
I have a Brother MFC scanner. I use a TWAIN API library to scan and acquire images at 200 X 200 DPI. I use ScanDLL50 library from Informatik to scan papers with no compression into multi-page TIF format.
Recently, I ran into a problem on a Windows XP Media Center computer. No matter what scanner I use, the papers I scan get only partially scanned. For example, if I scan an A4 paper, the result image has only some portion of the page. Like middle portion of the paper has been enlarged and the rest cropped. This happens only with this particular software. If I use windows scanner wizard, it works normal. I think there is some setting in this windows install that is doing this.
Can someone help me out?
Appreciate it.

what are the values for units and frames?
In the library that I use, there is no frames and units. All I specify is that I want to scan at 200 DPI, TIFF format, Grayscale and no compression. Thank you.
What do you have for ScanTop, ScanBottom, ScanLeft and ScanRight?
and the units in that lib are set with metric, but I don’t think in that library they’re going to matter.
Thank you for your reply. The library does provide scantop, scanbottom, scanleft and scanright properties but I don’t set it so that it uses default.
Here is what I set before the scanning begins:
pObjScan.Scanner = CSCommon.gObjTbStoreSet.Rows[0][“DefaultScanner”].ToString().Trim();
pObjScan.GraphicsFormat = “tif”;
pObjScan.TIFFcompression = 1;
pObjScan.Color_bpp = 1;
pObjScan.Resolution = 200;if (chkInvAllScanADF.Checked == false)
{
pObjScan.ADF = false;
}
else
{
pObjScan.ADF = true;
pObjScan.Serialize = true;
}if (chkInvAllScanDuplex.Checked == false)
{
pObjScan.Duplex = false;
}
else
{
pObjScan.Duplex = true;
}Malay
i dunno, if I were you (just for kicks) I’d check the values of those properies. only becasue they seem like they are the only values that would matter here. if you aquire with different software (not the windows stuff, something else) on on that machine, are the images the same?
is the driver name the same? – I wonder is wia is playing with you…
