Hello,
We’re developping an application to drive several TWAIN sources (scanners mainly). Some of them are identical.
It seems that it’s a well-known issue with TWAIN: we can not run the identical scanners simultaneously while it works perfectly for different models. The only way to move forward would be to find the way to “duplicate” the datasource of identical scanners…Thanks for your help…

This problem cannot be solved on the TWAIN application side. It starts already before the TWAIN DS DSM communication. In most cases it is related to a limitation of the USB HW/SW implementation which use only the device vendor ID and not look for different devices by serial number. Therefore only the first found device can be addressed.
A duplication of the DS can usually not fix this limitation.
If you not bound to USB connection, I recommend to use Ethernet connected devices. A lot of MFP from different vendors support the selection of a device by IP address.
