New to twain so this may be a very redundant question. I need to know if there is any resource that will tell me what twain capibilities a device has. For instance for testing purposes I am using a Microtek ScanMaker 4900 2400 dpi scanner. What I can’t seem to locate via google or any other source is what twain capibilites it supports. I tried to set the ICAP_AUTOMATICBORDERDETECTION which errored. I was just wanting to find out where someone might list the capibilites or is all just kind of trial and error. To make thing just a bit more difficult I am using java and the mmcomputing open source twain package. Which is working very well just want to add a bit more control over the device but I can’t seem to find any specs.
Thanks
Jason

http://www.dosadi.com/vendors.htm
http://www.dosadi.com/twister-reports.phpOur Morena Image Acquisition Framework for Java contains TwainAutomatedTest program (test.bat) in the examples directory of the distribution package. It will write all supported capabilities of your scanner to the twainAutomatedTest.txt file.
If your scanner supports hiding it’s user Interface, you can also run our online MorenaCapabilities example:
http://www.gnome.eu/Twain/examples/capabilities.html1) First select your Twain or Sane source.
2) Click to the “Custom dialog window”/”Select capabilities”. The dialog window will pop up all supported capabilities/options.Martin Motovsky
