Hi there!
I’m using the Mm’s computing Twain library for java on Windows 64.
My application works well with a Canon DR2580C scanner (Java 32 and the TwainDSM.dll in System32).But I can’t run any scan with a Brother DS620 scanner.
If I try with a Java 32 bits version and the appropriate TwainDSM in System32 (or SysWOW64, I tried both), I get a Data Source Manager Timeout.
When I try with Java 64 bits mode, I get the Exception :
“uk.co.mmscomputing.device.twain.TwainScanner.setException: jtwain: EXCEPTION 0xC0000005 thrown in twain source or source manager. This may have left the twain subsystem in an unstable state. Please restart application or web-browser.” .I don’t find any information about this exception anywhere. Can someone give me more infos about this error?
Thank you in advance! 🙂
If the code is trying to use TWAIN_32.DLL for the DSM it will fail, because one can’t load a 32-bit DLL into a 64-bit process. The TWAIN Working Group releases 32 and 64 bit DSM’s (open source). They can be found here:
