Hi
I’ve been sitting on this problem for some time now:
I have made a simple java scanner interface using Morena API, now when I try scanning images at high resolutions (above 1250 dpi) the scanner tells me that my system does not have enough memory to complete the scan, however when I run the same scan using the scanning program which comes with my scanner (hp scanjet 4890), it scans without a problem!
if anyone has any ideas I’d be very happy to here
Aharon
I’m unfamilliar with the Morena API, but you may want to check if it supports negotiating ICAP_XFERMECH. Could be that that reference app is using buffered memory or even file mode.
