Hi
I am new here, I am wondering about compatibility between Twain and microsoft dotNet2 and dotNet3, and compatibility between Twain and
64bit windowsthanks
> twain and .net
twain_32.dll is a native dll with no managed entry points. from .net you’ll probably use interop if you want to access it directly or you’ll go find a wrapper that provides what you need.> twain and 64bit
what angle are you asking this from? in one sense twain is a spec in another it’s a dll provided by microsoft as a part of the os.if you have (more) specific questions, just ask.
.
I dont see any advantages if you use 64 bit paltform but with 32 bit drivers. Because in this case your application will not use all power of 64 bit platform and will work in 32 bit environment even on 64 bit system.
maybe no advantages, but potentially some issues. hit search at the top and go look around, there seem to be several people with problems getting drivers (their old 32bit ones) to install on the 64bit flavors of windows.
