Is there any way to reconcile a TWAIN source with its device VID/PID?
Using the TW_IDENTITY ProductName field isn’t reliable as most TWAIN drivers seem to provide a different string than that which is made available by calls to SetupDiGetDeviceRegistryProperty (SPDRP_FRIENDLYNAME or SPDRP_DEVICEDESC) in setupapi.h (windows).
Any thoughts/ideas?
Thanks!

if you can use SPDRP_DRIVER to get the driver && it points to a .ds then yes as there is a way to get the .ds related to a twain device. but I don’t think this will work 100% as I don’t think all twain devices register that kind of info.
// no experience in doing any of the above, i’m just guessing here
