Hi,
i have developed an application for scanning images and saving to database.Basicaly i extended .Net Masters source code which is available on CodeProject pages.
What is strange concerning the crashes is that windows reports that access violation happen in twain.dll or hippo.dll (which is Kodak driver).
It takes some 20 rounds of scanning to happen and its not always.
Anybody has some ideas how to pinpoint the problem down?I am using windows 7 and Kodak i1220 scanner.
For tests and simulation i40.I am always initializing the twain driver with all caps and after scanning closing DS and DSM.
Thanks for any ideas.
btw:
here is one of errors i get
Faulting application name: opta_scan2.exe, version: 1.0.3.3, time stamp: 0x4d875762
Faulting module name: hippo.DLL, version: 9.32.1.0, time stamp: 0x4bfe8811
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00117d26Today i turned on driver debuging and also log every app allocation.
Hi. I’m the developer at Kodak responsible for hippo.dll. I just happened to come across your post this morning.
Are you still having problems with hippo crashing?
Hi,
I was searching solution for a similar problem, and found this thread.
The scanning application runs for many hours without a problem, but the next time the application crashes with system access violation exception when start scanning…Is there any followups on this thread? The scanner I’m using is Epson’s perfV700, application runs on windows7 64bit and the twain driver version is 1.7 (need update?)
thanks
