We are using a “customized application” which have a scanning option.(Using Java, Asprise JTWain (8.0) licensed and HP scanner 7400C). The problem is that when we disable User Interface (UI) from our application then ADF(Automatic Document Feeding) option does not work in Win2000 but works in XP with grinding sound and then lock the scanner(when we debug it shows that there are 32767 images are left to scan but actually there is no one). Its mean either this scanner does not support ADF without UI enabling or there is some thing wrong with our code.(Keeping in mind if the HPSJ32.ds exits in Windows XP in folder “C:windowstwain_32” it does not scan at all. when i remove HPSJ32.ds from folder “C:windowstwain_32”, it starts scanning (ADF) but when all the pages have been scanned it starts a grinding sound (for 30 seconds )and show message on LCD “Unlock Scanner”. i checked the Lock button at bottom ot scanner but it was not locked) But in Windows 2000 the scanner works in the presence of C:winnttwain_32HPSJ32.ds but only works with ADF it User Interface is enabled via our application.
Please help us if windows XP need upgraded version of HPSJ32.ds or
Suggest a new scanner that supports ADF without enabling User Interface.
Our requirement is to scan the images via our application without enabling Scanner User Interface.(Twain Compatible) Using Win XP
Should I need an upgraded HPSJ32.ds.ds file for Win XP. One thing which i forgot to mention that when i tried to set the Duplex capability it was null.
We are in hurry and your timely response will be highly appreciated.- AuthorPosts
